NATURE & WILDLIFE

The Jungle is Right Outside
Howler monkeys at dawn, scarlet macaws overhead, butterflies you’ve never seen before. Montezuma’s tropical wildlife doesn’t require a tour — it shows up on its own. We’ll point you to the best spots to sit quietly and let it come to you.

Restaurants

Our Honest List of Favorites
We’ve eaten everywhere so you don’t have to waste a meal. Here’s what we actually recommend:
Playa de los Artistas — Tables on the sand, fresh fish, and the best sunset in Montezuma. Get there early, it fills up fast and doesn’t take reservations.
The Bakery — Your morning sorted. Fresh bread, great coffee, friendly faces. A Montezuma institution.
La Naranja — Relaxed, colorful, and consistently good. Great for lunch or an easy dinner.
Tierra y Fuego — Wood-fired everything. Go hungry.
Bejuco Sushi Bar — Yes, sushi in the jungle — and it’s genuinely excellent. A welcome surprise.
